I am an American woman. I met my husband more than 30 years ago when we were both college students in Arizona. So after all that time in the states, my hubby desired to move back to his native home of Saudi Arabia. I've been in Jeddah now since October 2007. Above all, not only is Arabic calligraphy beautiful, it also uses deep-meaning texts. That’s one thing, one should look deeper into.

Beautiful. I’ve always loved Arabic calligraphy, especially of the Qur’an.
Hi Elaine! I think it is exquisite. The only problem is that it is under glass and it didn’t photograph that well. Many of the pieces of art like this actually use gold wire thread and are very heavy. I think the Arabic calligraphy is so beautiful.
That is marvelous! It looks like it could be a door.
