Lighting OD
Many businesses in Jeddah make use of excessive fluorescent lighting, as you can see in this photo, and are lit up quite brightly. Some homes, despite usually having beautiful ceilings and lighting fixtures, also make use of unflattering lights like this too. I haven’t figured it out yet, but it is something that miffs me here.

oh, when you go on a night road trip and it’s all quiet and dark. suddenly you see these floresent lights in white and green and blue, that’s the last thing you see for a while…

The picture doesn’t really illustrate how harsh florescent lights are, there is also a flicker issue with some lamps.
