Mall Kiosk

This beautiful carved wood kiosk is located in a huge modern mall in Jeddah.  It displays fine embroidered dresses, blouses, and T-shirts, as well as perfumes and other toiletry items.  The carving detail is amazing.

  1. Hi Ab! There are very few things for women and children to do here other than go shopping at the malls. Activities are very limited here – one of the major drawbacks, especially if you don’t like shopping too much.

Hi Kris – I thought so too – thanks for commenting.

Hi Sharon – Yes, indeed it is. Many doors and windows here have this type of intricate work on them. I’ll see if I can get a shot.

Hi Marahm! In the one year since I arrived here, 3 brand new huge malls have been built and opened up. It’s amazing. But I do wish there were other things for families to do, besides picnicking along the Red Sea.

So cute! I miss the Kingdom, believe it or not. I miss the malls!

  3. This is certainly a lot nicer than the sales carts we see at the US malls.

  4. Kris says:

    Very ornate work here.

  5. Ab says:

The Mall culture seems very prevalent in SA also; is this true?
