Blue Windows

The city of Jeddah, like many large cities around the globe, has numerous large office buildings with a variety of reflective color tinted windows.  In this section of town, blue reflective windows reign supreme. Even residential apartment buildings favor using the color tinted reflective windows, which offer privacy for its occupants. Privacy is of the utmost importance to all Saudi families.

What a great blog! I’m in Jeddah and I’ve been going through your blog and I can safely say that …

I’m not in any of your pics! You have got a lot of my local haunts though and I actually worked in one of those buildings!

  2. Hi Marahm!
I love the many different colors of reflective tinted windows that they use here. Quite a variety!

    Hi Elaine!
I know what you mean about the sun’s glare reflecting off these kinds of windows. I’m squinting at the mere thought of it!

I like the sky blue color better than the aqua, but walking around the downtown streets of Sacramento in the eighties and nineties, I remember the glare of the sun being uncomfortably reflected onto the street and into our eyes. There’s something lost and something gained.

Oh, those lovely blue windows! I adore them, and wish I could live behind them.
