Colorful Shop at Dusk

Colorful Shop at Dusk

I just love photos taken at dusk – when the sky seems to appears lit up and the neon lights are visible. This photo is just a typical business here in Jeddah, but I thought it looked so colorful that I decided to post it. The big sign on top is in both English and Arabic. Look closely and you can see five bicycles in the middle of the sign – not because any of the shops here are bicycle shops, but because this plaza is located on the traffic circle that is dominated by one of Jeddah’s most famous landmarks, the huge bicycle sculpture. You can see this sculpture in my previous post on The Bicycle Sculpture of Jeddah.

  1. Nice capture, Susie. I love the warmth of dusk!

It’s interesting to see a foreign script presented in its own “block letters”. It sort of decodes what the important gestures are for recognition.

Looks like a fun place to shop. It’s a nice dusky sky.
