I’ve been trying to get a decent shot of this unusual looking building for months now, and this is my best effort so far. Keep in mind, we are always zooming by in a speeding car because it’s practically impossible to pull over in the traffic here without causing an accident. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the blue swirly designs, including the butterfly, are actually blue mirrored tiles which catch the light when you’re driving by in the car. This building is a private fancy dress shop for women only. Below is another shot taken at dusk. It’s a different angle taken from the far lanes of traffic. I hope you enjoy this whimsical piece of architecture from Jeddah.
About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby and teenage son. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE, which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.
