Typical Street Scene

This is a business area of a usually very crowded street in Jeddah. It was taken mid-morning. You can see traditionally dressed men and some dressed in slacks and a polo. Most businesses get really busy later in the afternoon and into the evening.

Another difference in cultures. We’re busy in the mornings and early afternoons and then people start to slack off and get home by 4 or 5.

    Nice slice of life, Susie!

  2. Hi Yoli – The feeling is mutual! Your blog is like a beautiful treasure.

I love this Susie, it is like being there. You know my great grandmother is Arab and I have always been fascinated, not just with the land but with the people. I cannot travel there, so I am totally enamoured with your blog.
