DSCF1594 1 copy
This amazing structure is the luxurious Rosewood Corniche Hotel, located along Jeddah’s Corniche which runs parallel to the Red Sea. One section is shaped like a cyllinder, and the other section is a normal box shape with an enormous oval cut out at the top. The reflective blue glass of the exterior perfectly compliments the gorgeous blue Red Sea which is just steps away. The hotel offers over 120 rooms and suites, several top notch restaurants on site, and meeting rooms for groups. Recently the Rosewood was named Saudi Arabia’s Leading Hotel by the prestigious World Travel Awards, which honors the best in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry.

It looks like a child’s toy to me. Not one of the most appealing structures in Jaddah.

Welcome home Susie. Hope you had a wonderful visit with friends and family in the States.

I wasn’t sure I liked this architecture although the photo is impressive, until I saw the Hotel’s photo gallery. It is amazing inside and out–and I am ready to jump into that rooftop pool! I hope you have had the chance to visit/ stay there. It certainly deserves its award!

  6. Jacob says:

I like it, I think. It is certainly striking and very beautiful in its own way. I can imagine it’s a bit pricey, though.

    Nice photo, Susie!

  7. WOW – I think I could survive at that hotel! I linked into the hotel’s website – Luxury defined!

A very strange design, it looks like something out of a movie.
