This is another example of how much product is moved outside each day to attract customers at a store here in Jeddah. This shop sells mainly bedding and luggage. It’s not unusual to see men sitting and talking outside the shops. But you will NEVER see women doing this here.
About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE OF ARABIA (formerly SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE), which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.

Looks like they might be resting up before having to move everything back inside. Interesting.
I think I’m just gonna’ stop by there some evening and talk with those guys, see how friendly they are and how much they know about Minnesota!
I wonder if women can congregate anywhere in public just to talk?
I’ve met my friends at the mall or at restaurants, but when there is too large of a group anywhere, men or women, it is dispersed. They’re afraid of anarchy…
Though in the authorities’ defense, the huge congregation of Saudis on their national day did result in anarchy… ;P
