Taif, Saudi Arabia, is a popular summer retreat for many Saudis, including the royal family, because of its cooler weather which offers welcome relief when the rest of the country is scorchingly hot. Taif is nestled in a mountainous area of the country and is famous for its agriculture. Le Meridien Hotel of Taif is a very modern looking structure and it is located on top of the highest peak in the city. I previously posted a photo of the beautiful lobby of the Le Meridien Hotel and you can see more photos at the Starwood Hotels website.

the hotel was built in the early 80s, if not earlier. Back in the 80s when it was still Sheraton , it was the place for classy parties and formal dinners.. the best hotel in Town.

  2. Mike Callaghan says:

Isn’t this the Sheraton renamed? We used to stay there sometimes on trips from Jeddah. Not so good friday lunch was OK

  3. Chiara says:

The setting, and the lobby look great. I’m not overly fond of that style of architecture though I’m sure the Hotel is wonderful.
