My friend Anne traveled to Medina recently and took some gorgeous photos of the Prophet’s Mosque at sunrise. She gave me permission to post this one on my blog for SkyWatch. The mosque itself is spectacular, but at this time of day with dawn’s first light of daybreak and the glow of the lights, I just thought it was so exquisitely breathtaking that I wanted to share it with you. Medina is the second holiest city of the Islamic faith, the first being Mecca.

About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby and teenage son. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE, which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.
