Another View: Alterations in Space Sculpture

This is a different view of the sculpture Alterations in Space which has its place among Jeddah’s many public works of art along the Corniche. This photo shows the expansive Red Sea behind the sculpture. Families enjoy time together on Jeddah’s Corniche and often gather there for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the fresh air. This imposing but elegant bronze sculpture is the creation of an artist named Francois Kovacs. I featured Alterations in Space on a previous post with a photo that was taken at sundown, with sun causing a lovely effect on the bronze and its design.  Also, click here for an interesting story about the talented artist and physician who created this piece of art.

  1. I maybe sound like a broken record but WOW do you have wonderful outdoor art in Jeddah! You’re lucky that you see sculptures everywhere!

  2. I do love this shot! It’s SO Jeddah for me, with the kids playing around the sculpture and the Dad just chilling! 🙂

Great photo–it looks like a Magritte painting!
