The White Horse Sculpture

Made from local stone, The White Horse is a sculpture in Jeddah that was created by artist Rabi Al-Akhras. The inspiration for the piece, like several of the works of art that adorn the city, came from a smaller desktop ornament. This artist is also credited with two other works in Jeddah that I know of and that have been previously featured on this blog, Arab Knight and Symbols of Victory. Sorry, I haven’t been able to locate any other information about Al-Akhras.

    Beautiful. I see the moon also, in the upper horse section. And it almost looks like the spire is a medieval jousting spear.
