Movenpick Al-Wadaa Restaurant

This distinctive conch shaped building is part of the Movenpick Al-Nawras Resort Hotel of Jeddah and houses a wonderful Lebanese restaurant called Al-Wadaa (which means the shell in Arabic). The hotel is situated on a private island in the Red Sea just off the coast of the city. There is a large area for outside dining where the waves of the splashing Red Sea are just inches away and the cool sea breezes are delightful. Customers can enjoy smoking sheesha out here and are accommodated on tall cushioned Arabian styled sofas. The hotel offers one and two bedroom villas and also has another restaurant on site. At night the building glows as it is completely lit up and looks spectacular. I’ll try to get a decent photo of it at night and post it.
