About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE OF ARABIA (formerly SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE), which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.

Dried Berries Treat
Sorry I don’t know much about these delectable treats. My sister-in-law offered me some one day at her home and I really loved them. I think they are actually called Golden Raspberries, but I can’t be sure. They have a … Continue reading
House Baby
Just a photo of a type of strip mall here in Jeddah, where one shop in particular caught my eye – “House Baby.” Not only is the name of the shop a tad humorous, but the graphics on the sign … Continue reading

Happy Business Vehicle
It’s nice seeing a fun business vehicle like this here in Saudi Arabia. Too many times I feel that actual fun is frowned upon here…
Odd Design
Jeddah is full of buildings with interesting architectural designs. Many have lots of tinted reflective glass windows incorporated into the designs. I believe this building is a car dealership.

MyWorld: Body Builder Sign
I still don’t understand – why is it okay for a huge sign like this to be on display here in Saudi Arabia, when images of women’s arms, faces, or with other skin showing in magazines or on products are … Continue reading

Jamaican Grill in KSA
Here’s something you might not expect to see in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – a Jamaican Grill restaurant. We haven’t eaten there yet, but I wonder how it stacks up to the Jamaican food we were able to enjoy … Continue reading
