Dried Berries Treat

Sorry I don’t know much about these delectable treats. My sister-in-law offered me some one day at her home and I really loved them. I think they are actually called Golden Raspberries, but I can’t be sure. They have a subtle sweetness and when they are dried like the ones I had (in this picture), they are not hard or crisp, but rather with a nice texture that is slightly chewy. I haven’t seen them myself in any shops here, but I will definitely keep my eyes on the lookout for them. Have any of you ever had these and if so, do you know any more about them?

    Hey Susie:

These are actually dried morus/mulberries. They sell them a lot in Turkey(I am actaully eating some right now.. they are really yummy. In TR are called “dut”(u read it like this d-oo-t) http://images.google.com.tr/images?hl=tr&q=dut&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi and the dried ones are ‘kuru dut’: http://images.google.com.tr/images?um=1&hl=tr&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=kuru+dut&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&start=0).Hmmmmm….they are very good for the eyes and for the blood circulation (that what they say here).

    Have a great weekend šŸ™‚
