Where’s Ahmed?

This is my own take on the popular children’s books called “Where’s Waldo?” Ok, Ahmed isn’t as hard to spot as Waldo usually is, but I thought I’d have a little fun with this photo. Many small shops are filled to the gills with products, from floor to ceiling – it’s really remarkable how much merchandise they can neatly fit in to such small spaces. I’m always intrigued by the hookah shops here. The hookah bases themselves come in such a variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and materials, and one is more beautiful than the other. I also love the accessories of the smoking hoses with the mouthpieces – these too come in beautiful colors. Many of the hookahs I have seen here are like beautiful works of art.

Very fun to see the various, colorful hookahs in the window! One would make a great conversation piece and home decor, “artsy fartsy” item to display! Maybe you should start a hookah export biz, Susie of Arabia?!

Reminds me of the shops in old Cairo- so packed with trinkets, you didn’t know what to look at first! And the street no narrow you could actually stand in the middle between two stores and almost touch both at the same time!

The little glass perfume bottles are always a favorite of mine.

I love that picture! I really want one of those lol… I actually won a small one at Church awhile back.. is sitting on our mantle. Cute but I still want a normal sized one. Funny since we don’t smoke, but still… 😀

    • I am fascinated with them. We don’t have one – but if we did, I would definitely have a very hard time choosing which one I would want! There are so many styles and colors and shapes and sizes…

  6. those are some really nice looking hookahs.
