In Saudi Arabia, Dad is usually in charge of the outdoor barbecues too – just like in the states. Many Jeddah families head for the banks of the Red Sea for a little outdoor time on the weekends. Most facilities here are very minimalist so people bring whatever they need with them to make their outing more enjoyable, like shade, seating, and if cooking is involved, everything needed for that. The city of Jeddah’s shape stretches north and south for many miles along the Red Sea coastline and doesn’t really go very far inland, taking maximum advantage of its position on the water.
About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby and teenage son. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE, which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.
