Waiting for a Ride

A woman – dressed totally in the traditional black clothing that Saudi women wear here in Saudi Arabia – waits on a street corner for a taxi to come along. Taxis are abundant here since women are not permitted to drive. The business sign on the building indicates that it is a meat market. Many of the business signs here have graphic images to show what type of business it is for those who don’t read Arabic. Many signs are also written in both English and Arabic.
