About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE OF ARABIA (formerly SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE), which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.

A scene from the amazing new sciences and technology university outside of Jeddah, strolling through KAUST can seem as though one could be almost anywhere in the world. Visible in the background is the Breakwater Beacon, which I featured on … Continue reading
Not only is HyperPanda Supermarket a pleasure to shop in, what with their clean wide aisles and their wide variety of products to choose from, but they deserve kudos for their new experimental policy of hiring females in cashier positions. … Continue reading
There are many wierdly designed buildings here in Jeddah, and I wanted to show you this one. Notice the arched bay windows that jut out along the top of the building. I don’t think I’ve ever seen windows like these … Continue reading
This game shop window display in Jeddah is bound to attract its target audience of young customers. Many small game shops in Saudi Arabia sell “unofficial” copies of games and programs at a fraction of the usual cost for the … Continue reading
