Not only is HyperPanda Supermarket a pleasure to shop in, what with their clean wide aisles and their wide variety of products to choose from, but they deserve kudos for their new experimental policy of hiring females in cashier positions. In Saudi Arabia, women who work are generally restricted to working only in the education and medical fields. Because of strict gender segregation in the country, women acting as cashiers to men customers is looked upon as “haram,” or forbidden.
