I have always wondered why these people allow their cities to look like this.

    • Jerry – They have such harsh restrictions for certain things, and then are so lax in other areas – I really don’t get it. Just recently I have seen big signs posted all over here in Jeddah imposing fines for littering. This is a step in the right direction. We’ll see if it has any effect. I personally think the fine should be higher – it’s only 150 SR, which is about $37 US.

This fine of 150 SR won’t work but as you said it is a step in the right direction!

I really don’t like to see my city unclean like this.

you know I hate when people leave their trash after they’ve enjoyed their time at the cornich (The Jeddah beach) and when they throw papers when driving like its hard for them to leave an empty bag in their cars! and I always wonder if they do the same in their own house!

      • Sari – The trash and rubble problem is something that I find so distasteful here. People should clean up after themselves – it’s the civilized thing to do.
