It’s always hard choosing a favorite photo, especially now with digital affording us so many more possibilities to choose from. My pick for my favorite photo that I took in 2010 was this one – a very simple shot taken along Jeddah’s Corniche by the Red Sea that is peaceful and reflective. Wishing you peace and happiness in the year ahead.

About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE OF ARABIA (formerly SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE), which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.

I can hear the waves! A wonderful photograph.
Your photo is really a masterpiece.
What a wonderful choice. I love this photo it’s very meditative. Happy New Year.
Susie, great choice for theme day. it is a peaceful and lovely image. How are you? We hope things are well. We have been in Santiago Chile for New Year’s and hiking in Torres del Paine in Patagonia, Chile. Quite an adventure. We will get some of the travel photos up on our travel site http://www.vivalavoyage soon. The Torres del Paine area is truly stunning. Happy New Year’s Day to you! Have a great day with family and friends. Let us know when you come back to Phoenix so we can say Hellow in person.
As you say…simplicity. Sometimes that’s what makes an image powerful. Very good choice.
This is just lovely, Susie. A beautiful atmosphere, colours – one just feels the beauty and solitude. Wishing you a very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. xxx
I love Jeddah’s Corniche and to some Jeddawieen (or Jeddawi’s) we can’t live without going there. I go to the Corniche as much as I can to fill up my lungs with some fresh air, relax my eyes and ears to the scene and sound of the blue (red) sea, and to stretch my legs.
I’m going to miss it now. 😦
I really like your choice for theme day because of the ocean colors and the sand and the strolling solitude! Quite different from our snow and ice in Minnesota…
Happy New Year to you and yours
Thanks, Leif! Happy New Year to you!
