About This Blog, and About Me: Susie of Arabia
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is KSA's 2nd largest city and is located on its west coast, right on the Red Sea. I moved here in 2007 with my Saudi hubby. This journal reflects the things that I see here, life through my eyes, my lens.
Please be sure to also visit my other blog, SUSIE OF ARABIA (formerly SUSIE'S BIG ADVENTURE), which relates my experiences, thoughts, and observations about living in Saudi Arabia.

This piece in a housewares shop caught my eye. I love the detailing. It is some type of large serving piece that has its own stand. from Blogger http://susieofarabia.blogspot.com/2020/04/decorative-cover.html
Because such a large percentage of the population here in Saudi Arabia consists of foreign workers, much of the signage for businesses also includes very colorful visual graphics, elaborating what type of business the sign represents.
There are many outdoor markets like this one here in Jeddah. Most of them carry a nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, and dates. The photo shows just part of this market. It is actually an “L” shaped … Continue reading
Sorry I don’t know much about these delectable treats. My sister-in-law offered me some one day at her home and I really loved them. I think they are actually called Golden Raspberries, but I can’t be sure. They have a … Continue reading
